We love our yoga for what it does for our health and wellbeing, but as our bodies age, our bones and muscles need nourishment. Whether you are new to yoga or have limited mobility, a chair is a wonderful prop and a means of support. This class offers a full body workout using flat resistance bands and combines modified hatha yoga poses using the chair. We end class in a seated shavasana with a guided meditation and breath practice, bringing balance between strength and relaxation, adding a peaceful dimension to enrich and heal.
Benefits: Any age group, increases flexibility and muscle mass, improves posture, lung and joint function, increases heart rate, regulates the nervous system, and calms and centers the mind.
